How Does Masterpiece Coaching Help You Become YOU-ier?

As a passionate Christ-follower and professionally trained life-coach, I strive to follow after Jesus' compassionate and transformative example as I serve you through Masterpiece Coaching, LLC, the coaching business God has given me since 2016.

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." -Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

This verse is the cornerstone of my coaching approach, emphasizing the truth that God says each person is a unique and deeply valued creation, designed by Him for a specific purpose.

My coaching methodology is based on how Jesus often engaged in conversation by asking profound questions that helped individuals uncover their hearts at the deepest level. He didn’t shy away from the complexities of human experience; instead, He invited people to explore their hopes, dreams, desires, and disappointments. For instance, when Jesus asked the blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51), He was inviting him to articulate his deepest desire, which in turn opened the door for a transformative encounter.

Through Masterpiece Coaching, LLC, I seek to emulate Christ’s approach by creating a safe and nurturing environment where you can delve deep into your authentic self and further discern God’s invitations for your life. Through catalytic questions, I compassionately help you uncover the desires God has placed deep in your heart from before time began to be lived out “at such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14)

Whether you are struggling with a career/ministry decision, processing a personal challenge, or feeling stuck in your spiritual growth, my coaching is designed to support you in living a flourishing life aligned to your God-given design.

Real-Life Examples:

1. Ministry Renewal: Take, for example, a client who was feeling unfulfilled in their ministry role. Through coaching, they were able to identify their true passion for serving others and reignite the strengths, skills and giftings that may have squelched by limiting beliefs, fears and unrealistic expectations. By paying attention to the Holy Spirit, their authentic desire, and taking steps forward, they transitioned into a fulfilling role at a non-profit organization, further aligning their work with their spiritual and personal values with greater freedom and impact. 

2. Spiritual Growth: Another client sought deeper intimacy with God and others who share the same desire but felt stuck in guilt, regret, overwhelm and fear. Through our sessions, they were encouraged to explore their heart-felt desires openly. This process led to the development of thinking in new ways aligned to God’s Word and experimenting with new, tailor-made life rhythms that began to foster a more profound connection with God and others!

Jesus understood that acknowledging and speaking about our deepest desires can be life changing. Similarly, my coaching encourages you to voice these desires, fostering a safe space where your soul can express its truest longings. This can lead to significant decisions and life changes that further align with your authentic self and God’s purposes.

As a Christ-follower and professional life-coach, I recognize that providing a transformative environment is vital in supporting your journey. Just as Jesus gathered His disciples and fostered deep, transformative relationships, I aim to create an environment where you can:

In our coaching sessions, I offer myself to you as your spiritual companion and thinking partner, asking questions that help you reflect on your thoughts and desires and together create the tailor-made support you need in living in alignment with your deepest, authentic God-given design. For instance, a reflective question like, “In what ways might this decision align with your desire for a deeper relationship with God?” could help you to consider your actions in light of your heart-felt goals.

Thomas Merton wisely said, "Ask me not where I live or what I like to eat... ask me what I think I am living for, in detail, and ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for." 

This quote captures the essence of my coaching philosophy. I believe that by owning and safely exploring your desires out in the open, you can discern alongside the Holy Spirit’s help, which ones would be most fruitful, motivating and authentically YOU, leading you to a more aligned and fulfilling life.

My prayer is to help you identify and embrace the desires that God has placed within the uniquely designed life He created you to be, allowing you to navigate life’s challenges with a clearer sense of purpose and motivation. Our coaching conversations may very well involve how you can let go of superficial wants and unrealistic expectations so you can tune deeper into your God-given design and the truths God has graciously given you to guide your life’s journey.
