“I am the vine;
you are the branches.
Those who REMAIN in me,
and I in them,
WILL produce much fruit.
For apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
To REMAIN means "to endure, to persist, or to last."
REMAIN...
STAY focused on...
BEing faithful to the calling and gifts that HE has given...
THEN...
...I will find that
everything else
will LINE UP
—>according to God's will
and His plan.<—
STAY faithful and steady...
...CONTINUING to STAY...
...in...the...lane*...
in which
THE HOLY SPIRIT
has placed me...
Live aligned to His design for greatest Gospel impact!
*”Lane”- see if YOU can see the emphasis of “lane” in this verse:
“For YOU are God's masterpiece.
He has created YOU
anew in Christ Jesus,
so that YOU
can do the good things
HE planned for YOU
long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10
Amen.
Coach Yourself:
How well do you know the “lane” God has lovingly, strategically, uniquely placed YOU?
What aspect of “REMAIN in Him” needs shifting in your life so YOU are living aligned to YOUR God-given design?
What is at stake if you don’t reflect & move forward in #1 & #2 above?
How would you rate your sense of urgency for moving forward in these?
What will be your next step?
How about you?
The aspect of “remain in Him” that needs shifting in my life is my tendency to “water-down” my personal lone time with God by welcoming other “things” that “steal” my focus and full presence before Him and His Word. What’s at stake if I don’t move forward in this? Well, I have already experienced the strain it creates on my ability to hear His tender shepherding voice and on my willingness to trust the very Word He is giving me. I then go through my day with the acute sense of “weakness” in my personal receptor for receiving His Grace... I. Don’t. Want. This. To. Continue. My next step? First, I’m going to agree with Him, right now, that this is…
I love this!! The coach yourself aspect at the end was so helpful and put it all together. Thank you! I’ll be thinking over these in my quiet time.
