Fight...
...with the Lord's mighty power.
Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. Ep 6:10-12 (NLT)
Commit to RADICAL measures...
If your hand or your foot gets in the way of God, chop it off and throw it away. You're better off maimed or lame and alive than the proud owners of two hands and two feet, godless in a furnace of eternal fire. And if your eye distracts you from God, pull it out and throw it away. You're better off one-eyed and alive than exercising your twenty-twenty vision from inside the fire of hell. Mt 18:8-9 (MSG)
Remember your soul is not temporary, but eternal...
Then he called his disciples and the crowds to come over and listen. “If any of you wants to be my follower,” he told them, “you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life. And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul? Mk 8:34-37 (NLT)
Go it NOT alone, but in continual and honest fellowship with Christ and others...
And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we'll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives. 1Jn 2:28 (MSG)
But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son, purges all our sin.
If we claim that we're free of sin, we're only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—he won't let us down; he'll be true to himself. He'll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we've never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God. 1Jn 1:7-10 (MSG)
Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. Jas 5:16 (MSG)
My dear sister in Christ,
These are the specific Truths which God has confronted my heart with as of late. Honestly, this very week. Today. Now.
I do not have it all together. Surprise!! (What a lie to believe I must in the first place!) But somehow, I naturally bend toward not wanting to be or appear inadequate, for fear of being left out, left behind, left wanting.
Being now vulnerably honesty with you, I admit how my heart has sensed a slow distancing from my loving Heavenly Father as I began to wallow in fear, indifference, skepticism and anxiety with life. My present life. And tethered to this was the angst of "getting it together" on my own, in my own way, my own timing.
I did not want to sit at the feet of Jesus and wait for Him to speak, to teach, to comfort, to shape me and empower me. How strange is that! Ever felt that way?
THEN IT DAWNED ON ME...
My soul is being attacked. How could I have missed this? My eyes were so focused on what I COULD SEE that I forgot that life is SO MUCH MORE!
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Co 4:16-18 (NIV)
We live by faith, not by sight. 2Co 5:7 (NIV)
It is WHO we trust in, not WHAT we see now, that keeps us going. And when my eyes got off course and looked to my sight to make sense of my here and now, I lost sight of my faith's foundation that God is Spirit, Jesus is my Savior and this world is my temporary home.
And I was being summoned by my Heavenly Father to take my soul seriously and...

I love this post!! I’m cheering with you! Yes girl! I love your vulnerability. Thank you for being brave enough to be real and raw. We need more transparent people like you! This has been a truth I’ve been coming to terms with in my life as well. The sword of the spirit is powerful and mighty. And it’s a gift given to us to wield. The enemy would have us believe we are unprotected and weaponless. He has replaced our sword with a wooden stick.. he’s made us believe it holds limited power.
But God says “Stand up Cammie and take your sword.”
And use it!
In using it. I must be in tune with the Holy Spirit. And…
